Former Amerks Janik And McMorrow Celebrity Bartending Thursday

Rochester Americans News Release


(Rochester, NY)... The Rochester Sports Group will hold a Celebrity Bartending Event for CURE Childhood Cancer Association on Thursday, July 19th from 8:00 to 10:00 p.m. at Nathaniel's Pub (251 Exchange Blvd.).

Former Rochester Americans and current National Hockey League defenseman Doug Janik, former Amerks forward Sean McMorrow, Rochester Knighthawks defenseman Pat Cougevan, and Rochester Rhinos goalkeeper Scott Vallow and defender Jason Perry will work for tips for CURE. Members of the Rochester Venom and Rochester Rhinestones dance teams will also be present at the event. The 2007 Champion's Cup will also be on display.

Before the event, the Rochester Rattlers lacrosse team will hold a Viewing Party, as the Rattlers play the Boston Cannons live on ESPN2 at 7:00 p.m. from Harvard Stadium. The festivities at Nathaniel's Pub begin at 6:00 p.m.

The mission of CURE Childhood Cancer Association is to "improve the lives of families coping with childhood cancer or chronic blood disorders by providing emotional, educational and financial assistance."
