Mike Ford broke a scoreless tie with a solo home run to deep right field in the seventh inning to lead your Thunder to a 1-0 victory over the New Hampshire Fisher Cats on Monday night at ARM & HAMMER Park.

After Domingo German and Shane Dawson dueled their way to a scoreless game through six innings, Ford drove a first pitch fastball off of Luis Santos over the wall in right-center for the only run of the game.

German earned a no-decision despite throwing 6.1 shutout innings, allowing four hits and three walks. Nestor Cortes, Matt Wotherspoon and Cale Coshow held New Hampshire to just two baserunners across the final eight outs of the game as Coshow earned his third save of the season.

Ford and New Hampshire's Anthony Alford and Tim Lopes accounted for seven of the eight hits in the game, with Alford swinging his way to a three-hit night.

The 1-0 win for the Thunder was the first since June 5, 2016 against Erie.
