EAST COAST MEETS WEST COAST SATURDAY

For the first time since 2002, the Georgia Force will host the Los Angeles Avengers when they face-off at The Arena at Gwinnett Center, this Saturday, March 15, at 7:00pm. Los Angeles holds a 3-2 advantage in the season series, including a 57-51 win over the Force last year at the Staples Center.

Georgia is looking for the their first win of the season this week after suffering a 69-48 loss to Tampa Bay last week. The Force defense ranks first in total defense after two contests thanks in part to allowing a season-low 182 total yards of offense at Tampa Bay in Week 2. NT Ernest Allen anchors the Force defensive front and is currently tied for second in the AFL in tackles for loss (2.5).

COACH PLANK PREVIEWS LA MATCHUP

Force Head Coach Doug Plank shared his thoughts and insight via radio interviews this week on the upcoming matchup the 2-0 LA Avengers. If you missed them live, catch up with interviews from the past couple days on the flagship station of the Georgia Force, Sports Radio 790 The Zone.

FORCE SIGN STANDOUT WR CHARLES PAULEY

This week the Force signed four-year AFL veteran WR Charles Pauley. Pauley enters his fifth season in the AFL, having spent time with the San Jose SaberCats, Chicago Rush, Philadelphia Soul and Columbus Destroyers. In 2007, Pauley set career highs in receptions (104), receiving yards (1,473) and touchdowns (27), and finished first in every receiving category for the Soul.
