Crush head coach on brink of milestone

March 13, 2008 - Arena Football League (1987-2008) (AFL I)
Colorado Crush News Release

DENVER, Colo. - Colorado Crush (1-0) head coach Mike Dailey will be going for his 100th career regular season victory against the Dallas Desperados (2-0) when his Crush face a tough Dallas team on ESPN2 on Monday night at 6 p.m. MST.

The 100th victory would come in the coach's 166th career regular season game and he would be the fourth coach in AFL history to have amassed 100 career regular season victories.

"I have had a very long career that I am very proud of, but without the help of a lot of really good people over the years, it wouldn't have been nearly as accomplished," Dailey said. "I think in professional sports some one individual often gets the accolades, and it has something to do with me because I'm in charge for right now, but that doesn't mean anything if you don't have great people around you."

Dailey is in the midst of his 12th year as an AFL head coach and his 5th year a coach of the Crush. Dailey's AFL coaching career began with the Albany/Indiana Firebirds, where he spent 13 seasons, 7 as head coach. Dailey amassed a 45-25 record with Colorado.
