Force To Hold Annual School Day Game

CLEVELAND, OHIO- The Cleveland Force will play its annual School Day Game this Wednesday, February 5th when the team will play host to the Major Indoor Soccer League (MISL) Western Conference leading Milwaukee Wave at the Convocation Center at Cleveland State University. The game is scheduled to start at 10:35 a.m. and it is the third game of a five game home stand.

The School Day Game is just one component of the "Kick and Win" Program that was created by the Force along with the Cleveland Municipal School District.

Milwaukee leads the season series two games to one, inducing posting a 13-4 in the last meeting on January 18th at the Convo. Cleveland posted its only victory of the series on December 14th when the Force handed the Wave their second home loss of the year by a final score of 14-13.

Cleveland enters the game after posting a record of 1-1 last weekend. The Force defeated the San Diego Sockers in front of season-high 6,051 fans by a final score of 15-10. Cleveland fell to the Kansas City Comets in a hard fought game 16-14 on Sunday afternoon. The Force is currently in second place in the MISL Eastern Conference with a record of 12-12 and trails the Philadelphia KiXX by seven games for first.

Milwaukee comes into the games at the hottest team in the MISL as the team is on an eight game winning streak. The Wave posted two victories last weekend over the Harrisburg Heat (15-6) on Friday night and the Baltimore Blast (16-14) on Saturday. Milwaukee leads the MISL Western Conference with a record of 20-5 and is the only team in the MISL to clinch a playoff berth.
