
Force Takes On Kansas City For First Time This Season

CLEVELAND, OHIO - The Cleveland Force will play host to the Major Indoor Soccer League (MISL) Central Division Kansas City Comets on Sunday, January at Cleveland State University.
The game will mark the first of four meetings between the Force and the Comets this season. Kansas City won the 2002-03 season series by a mark of 3-1, including posting two victories at the Convo.
Cleveland enters the match up with a record of 4-10 overall, 1-2 versus Central Division opponents and 2-5 at the Convocation Center. The Force fell to the Baltimore Blast 7-5 in overtime last Saturday at the Convocation Center. Cleveland currently sits in third place in the Eastern Division trailing the Philadelphia KiXX by five games for second and the Blast by six games for first.
The Comets enter the weekend with a record of 5-10 overall, 2-2 versus Eastern Division opponents and 3-5 on the road. Kansas City will play host to the KiXX on Saturday, January 10 at Kemper Arena before heading to Cleveland. The Comets are currently tied for second in the Central Division with the St. Louis Steamers trailing the Milwaukee Wave by 6.5 games for the top spot.
Forward Lee Edgerton has recorded 13 goals and added four assists for a total of 13 points to lead the Force. Forward Adauto Neto, who will miss the game while recovering from knee surgery, is second on the team with 15 points. Defender John Ball is third in scoring with 11 points.
Kansas City is paced by two-time defending MISL Most Valuable Player (MVP)
Dino Delevski with 26 points. Delevski has recorded a MISL best 20 goals
and added six assists. Forward Miodrag Djerisilo is second on the team with
25 points. Rookie forward Jamar Beasley is third with 16 points while
former Cleveland forward Anthony Maher is fourth in scoring with 15 points.
