With one out in the top of the eight, Philadelphia's (1-2) Daniel Kinley sent a screamer down the left field line for a double. Two batters later and with Kinley on third, Lillian Hammond sent a bunt to the pitcher which ended up in an error on Bandits' first baseman Samantha Findlay to score the go ahead run.

Force pitcher Jessica Sallinger would hold on to earn the victory 5-4 over the Bandits (2-1) - her former team.

With no outs in the top of the second, Philadelphia's DeAnn Justice stepped to the plate against Bandits pitcher Jennie Finch and blasted a solo home run deep over the left field fence for an early 1-0 lead.

Two batters later, Force short stop Brette Reagan sent a hard single up the middle to reach first. Danielle Kinley followed her up with a hard single to short that was bobbled by Bandits shortstop Aileen Morales to put two on with two outs. The following batter, Savannah Brown, drew a walk to load the bases for the Force.

Hammond dropped a quick bunt to Finch who tossed it home to catcher Rachel Folden. Folden was unable to get her foot on the plate in time, allowing the runner to score and give the Force a 2-0 lead.

Finch buckled down to earn a strikeout for the final out of the inning.

In the top of the third, Philadelphia's Trena Peel sent a deep shot to right center towards the fence. Nicole Trimboli made a home run saving grab to end the inning.

Following the nice grab, Trimboli stepped up to the plate to start the bottom of the third and ripped a double to left center to kick off the third. Izmena Cabrera dropped a sacrifice bunt down to move Trimboli to third.

With two outs in the bottom of the third and Stacy may on first, Bandits rookie Tammy Williams blasted a pitch deep over the right field wall, putting the Bandits up 3-2 over the Force.

Two batters later, 2008 Player of the Year Stacy May stepped to the plate with two down. May ripped an RBI single to up the middle to score Trimboli from third. After the Williams homerun, Folden popped out to left to end the inning.

After throwing four innings, Finch was pulled from the circle and replaced by Brandice Balschmiter. Finch finished with four innings pitched, two hits, two earned runs and five strike outs.

The Force tied things up in the top of the fifth when Emily Friedman singled with two on to bring Lillian Hammond home to put the score at 3-3.

With two down, the Force took the lead after Trena Peel singled up the middle to bring home a run, giving the Force a 4-3 lead in the top of the fifth.

Bandits second baseman Kristie Fox stepped up to bat against Philadelphia's Jessica Sallinger in the bottom of the second with one out and proceeded to send a deep home run over the left field fence to tie the score up at 4-4.

Two batters later Bandits first baseman Samantha Findlay sent a hard double down the left field line to put a runner on second with two down.

Kristina Thorson took to the circle in the top of the seventh to replace Balschmiter. Balschmiter finished with two innings pitched, four hits, two runs and three strikeouts.

The Force managed two runners on first and second in the top of the seventh with one out, but Thorson held tight in the circle to get an inning ending double play to bring the home team back up in the bottom of the seventh.

With Bandits rookie Williams on second base in the bottom of the eight, Sallinger got Kristie Fox to pop up to second for the final out.
