
Force Squares Off With Comets For Second Time In A Week

CLEVELAND, OHIO - The Cleveland Force will travel to Kansas City, Missouri to take on the Major Indoor Soccer League (MISL) Central Division Kansas City Comets on Saturday, January 17 at Kemper Arena.
The game will mark the second of four meetings between the Force and the Comets this season, including the second game in less than a week. Cleveland won the first meeting in exciting fashion as the team came from behind on two occasions to post the 10-8 victory.
Cleveland enters the match up with a record of 5-10 overall, 2-2 versus Central Division opponents and 2-6 on the road. The Force snapped a five game losing streak with the win over Kansas City as well as ending a three-game losing streak to the Comets dating back to last season. Cleveland currently sits in third place in the Eastern Division trailing the Philadelphia KiXX by 4.5 games for second and the Baltimore Blast by 6.5 games for first.
Kansas City enters the weekend with a record of 6-11 overall, 3-3 versus Eastern Division opponents and 3-5 at home. The Comets will play host to the Milwaukee Wave on Friday, January 16 at Kemper Arena before hosting the Force. The Comets are currently in second place in the Central Division a half game ahead of the St. Louis Steamers but trail the Wave by 7.5 games for the top spot.
Forwards Zoran Karic and Hector Marinaro each recorded two goals and two assists for a total of four points to pace Cleveland in the season series.
Defender Omid Namazi is second with three points as he tallied three assists in the first meeting. Forwards Lee Edgerton and Ato Leone are tied for third with two points.
Kansas City was led by Vlatko Andonovski, with three points as he recorded
his first hat trick of the season. Forwards Dino Delevski and Brian Soell
are tied for second with two points
