Fargo Force News Release
The Force came out victorious in tonight's contest and split the weekend thanks to a pair of goals from the Broz, Huglen, Monds line and 2-0 combined Boynton and Miller shutout victory.
The Force saw three powerplay opportunities in the first period, but it was the third one that finally delivered. Aaron Huglen fired one in from the right point for his fourth powerplay goal on the season. The Force outshot their opponents in the first 6-1.
Tristan Broz sent in the second goal of the game at 5:15 in period two. He ripped one in top shelf off a beautiful passing play from Cody Monds and Aaron Huglen.
The Force shut down the Buccaneers for the remainder of the contest, going 2/2 on the PK and Fargo netminder Andrew Miller recording 24 saves.
The Fargo Force return to Scheels Arena for two games on home ice this week, kicking off with a 7:05 PM puck drop against the Waterloo BlackHawks on Thursday followed by the final home game of the regular season on Friday.
