Waterloo Black Hawks News Release
After rallying to tie the game, the Waterloo Black Hawks fell to the Fargo Force 4-2 Friday in North Dakota.
The home team had pulled ahead 2-0 with goals in the first at second. Corey Leivermann scored on a power play 9:52 into the game. Almost 20 minutes later, Johnnie Searfoss capped a two-on-one at 9:36 of the second.
Waterloo rallied before intermission as Derek Arnold set up Zach Palmquist at 15:47. The assist for Arnold gives him a point in 13 consecutive games. In the third, the Hawks tied the game; Patrick Divjak behind the net fed the puck to the top of the crease for J.T. Brown to bang into the goal at 12:10. Exactly five minutes later, the Force pulled back ahead courtesy of a Chase Grant shot from the slot. Nate Condon added an empty-netter with 39.2 seconds to play.
