Force Forward Selected to the MISL All-Rookie Squad

CLEVELAND, OHIO- Cleveland Force forward Anthony Maher has been selected to the Major Indoor Soccer League (MISL) All-Rookie Team. Anthony finished third in the MISL Rookie of the Year behind the P.J. Wakefield (Baltimore Blast) and Robbie Aristodemo (San Diego Sockers) who finished first and second respectively.

With the selection of Maher to the All-Rookie squad, the Force has now had a rookie representing the team for the second consecutive season. Last year midfielder Justin Evans and defender Marco Reda were selected to the All-Rookie team.

Maher was selected by the Force as the team's Rookie of the Year as well this season.

Anthony played in 35 of the Force's 36 regular season games and recorded eight two-point goals and added seven assists for a total of 23 points. In addition, he and had 10 blocks.

Maher will spend the off-season playing outdoor soccer for the Milwaukee Wave United of the A-League along with Force teammates John Ball and Jim Larkin.
