Force announces intersquad scrimmage

Sioux Falls, SD (October 27, 2005) - The Sioux Falls Skyforce announced today that they will be holding an intersquad scrimmage on Thursday, November 10, with tip-off set for 7:00 pm at the Sioux Falls Arena. As part of the Sioux Falls Skyforce and Sioux Falls Arena food drive, anyone donating a canned good will receive free admission.
Fans will get a sneak preview of the 2005-06 squad that is coming off a championship season. Training camp kicks off on Sunday, November 6 and the scrimmage will be very competitive as players will be fighting for roster spots. The âForce will play an exhibition game against the Dakota Wizards on Saturday, November 12, at the Huron Arena in Huron, South Dakota. Training camp closes out on Thursday, November 17 when the roster will be cut to ten players for opening night against the Wizards on Saturday, November 19.
"This will be a good opportunity for our fans to see guys really compete for a spot on our roster," said Coach Joerger. "It will be a good game and guys will really play hard. It should be a fun night, and of course for a good cause."
The Skyforce's season opener is on Saturday, November 19th at home against the Dakota Wizards. Fans are encouraged to attend as the team will celebrate their 2005 CBA Championship. Call the Skyforce office for ticket information at (605) 332-0605.
