Green Bay Blizzard News Release
The Green Bay Blizzard are pleased to show their holiday spirit at their game on Friday, July 6, 2007. The game will feature an indoor fireworks show. The special fireworks presentation is scheduled to last roughly twenty minutes and will take place following the conclusion of Friday night's game. Kickoff is set for 7:30p.m. as the Blizzard take on the Albany Conquest. The game will also feature Seymour Youth Football competing in a special youth football halftime game. The Blizzard (6-6 overall) look to stay in the chase for the Midwest Division Title when they take the field Friday night. A win over the Albany Conquest (5-7 overall) will put the Blizzard a game behind the division leading Quad City Steamwheelers (8-5 overall) who have a bye this week.
The Blizzard are currently securely in the playoffs, but they look to improve their playoff standing with another win on Friday. A win on U.S. Cellular Field at the Resch Center would be the team's ninth consecutive win at home. Green Bay's home winning streak dates back to July 28, 2006 when they defeated the Louisville Fire 54-53 in front of a crowd of 7,184 fans. The current home winning streak is the longest in franchise history.
Tickets are still available. For more information contact the Blizzard office at (920) 405-1264.
