OKLAHOMA CITY -The Oklahoma City Yard Dawgz and Oklahoma Blood Institute are coming together for the team's 4th annual blood drive this Sunday, July 8th, from 12-4 p.m. at the Crossroads Mall center court.
Yard Dawgz players, dancers, and mascots will be at the event to sign autographs and to donate blood. Each donor will receive a t-shirt and Member for Life points, as well as a free ticket to the Yard Dawgz home game versus the Arkansas Twisters on July 21st at the Ford Center.
"The Oklahoma Blood Institute provides a service vital to our community," commented Yard Dawgz General Manager Christie Cook. "You can take comfort in knowing that in time of need, the Oklahoma Blood Institute will be there."
The Oklahoma Blood Institute (OBI) is the seventh largest regional not-for-profit blood center in the United States. It provides blood to patients in 114 hospitals in 61 Oklahoma counties and 5 North Texas counties. OBI's mission is "to provide the safest and highest quality blood, services and health programs to the patients and communities they serve." Working closely with blood donors and other volunteers, OBI stays prepared to meet the needs of every patient in the communities it serves.
