Jacksonville Sharks News Release

NEW ORLEANS, LA - The 2013 South Division Champion Jacksonville Sharks (10-6) will play their final road game of the regular season on Saturday, July 20, taking on the New Orleans VooDoo (5-11). Kickoff from the Mercedes-Benz Superdome is set for 6:00 p.m. ET.

The Sharks head into this week's game as the No. 2 seed in the American Conference, one game behind the Philadelphia Soul (11-5). Jacksonville does hold the head-to-head tiebreaker, so a Shark win combined with a Soul loss at San Jose would vault the Sharks back into the No. 1 position. Regardless of which team ends the season with the top seed, the Sharks are guaranteed to host a first-round playoff game at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 3. The Sharks have three potential first-round playoff opponents - the VooDoo, Tampa Bay Storm and Orlando Predators.

Jacksonville was victorious in the first meeting between the two teams this season, beating New Orleans by a 76-30 count on Sea Best Field in the Sharks' home opener on April 12.
