North Iowa Outlaws News Release

On a hot and humid night in Mason City, the North Iowa Outlaws and the Fairbanks Ice Dogs skated to lift the haze of fog that settled around the ice surface. When the fog lifted it was the Outlaws flying high with a 4-1 victory in front of over 500 fans. On top of the fog lifting, the Outlaws moving atop the Central Division Standings as Fargo downed the Springfield Jr. Blues.

The Outlaws got on the board early in the game when Krystian Dziubinski found the back of the net to put the Outlaws up 1-0. Max Mobley and Joe Harcharik assisted on the goal. Heading into the second with the 1-0 lead, the Ice Dogs came out and tied the game at one, but the tie was broken late in the period. Dziubinski amd Harcharik played hot potato and fed Max Mobley into the clear and Mobley buried the puck to give the Outlaws the 2-1 lead.

In the third, the fog settled in on the ice and the Outlaws and Ice Dogs were forced to clear the bench and skate to lift the fog. When it cleared it was clear that North Iowa's Bryant Skarda's scoring streak would be extended to three when he knocked home an insurance goal with the assist to Matt Morin and Shea Walters. After the teams exchanged timeouts, the Outlaws struck again, with Walters scoring the empty net shorthanded goal, assisted by Morin, which iced the game.
