LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- Center fielder Chris Dickerson knocked in five runs and right-hander Josh Fogg fired eight scoreless innings as Louisville rolled to a 5-0 blanking of Indianapolis before a crowd of 9,714 Tuesday night at Louisville Slugger Field.

The Bats improve to 48-38 overall and 24-19 at home, while the Indians fall to 40-46 on the season and 19-25 on the road. The Tribe slips to six games below .500 for the first time in four years as a Pittsburgh Pirates affiliate.

Dickerson put Louisville on the scoreboard in the third by crushing a grand slam to center. His fourth dinger of the campaign came after C Ryan Hanigan beat out an infield single, SS Paul Janish was hit by a pitch and Fogg reached on a fielder's choice.

Dickerson added his fifth RBI of the night on a triple to right in the seventh. The base knock scored Janish, who sprinted to the dish after roping a single to center.

Dickerson (2-for-4, 1 R, 5 RBI) and Janish (2-for-2, 2 R) both notched multi-hit performances for the Bats.

Fogg (8.0 IP, 4 H, 0 R, 2 BB, 6 SO), who needed just 111 pitches to get through eight innings, retired 14 straight batters over the fourth, fifth, sixth, seventh and eighth frames. The Cincinnati Reds hurler was making just his second Major League rehabilitation start for Louisville.

Indianapolis RHP Jason Davis (7.0 IP, 6 H, 5 R, 5 ER, 1 BB, 4 SO) suffered the loss, falling to 4-9.

CF Andrew McCutchen (2-for-3) managed the Tribe's only multi-hit effort. McCutchen and LF Nyjer Morgan registered two stolen bases apiece, but the Indians only had one runner advanced past second base.

The setback gives Indianapolis its first four-game losing streak since May 12-14.

Tuesday evening's tilt marked the fifth of 21 straight against International League West Division opponents. From June 27 through July 20, the Tribe is scheduled to battle Columbus 11 times, Louisville six times and Toledo on four occasions.

The teams continue their four-game series on Wednesday at 7:05 p.m. RHP Jimmy Barthmaier is scheduled to start for the Indians, while RHP Homer Bailey is expected to get the nod for the Bats.

The contest will be carried by WXLW-950 AM and www.IndyIndians.com with Howard Kellman and Scott McCauley. The pre-game show begins at 6:45 p.m.
