Flying Tigers Set New Attendance Record

Lakeland, FL - The Lakeland Flying Tigers established a new single-season attendance record at Joker Marchant Stadium with today's crowd vs. the Clearwater Threshers with 64,396 total fans for the season. The previous mark was set in 2010 when the team drew 64,010. 2014 marks the 60th season Lakeland has been a member of the Florida State League (FSL). 2014 also marks the 48th season Lakeland has been a Detroit Tigers affiliate, the longest affiliation in Minor League Baseball. This is the 65th season Lakeland has been a member of the Florida State League (FSL). Lakeland first began playing in the FSL in 1919.

"This accomplishment is a credit to the hard work and dedication of our staff as well as our passionate fans" commented Flying Tiger General Manager Zach Burek. "We are extremely proud to be able to offer affordable family fun to our community". Today's game was the final of the season for the Flying Tigers.
