Richmond Flying Squirrels News Release
RICHMOND, VA - The Richmond Flying Squirrels, Double-A affiliate of the 2010 World Series Champion San Francisco Giants, are pleased to announce an expanded roster of customizable mini-plan options for their second season at The Diamond. Mini-plans are immediately available and can be purchased by calling the Flying Squirrels at (804) 359-FUNN (3866). The Flying Squirrels have also released individual game ticket prices for the 2011 season. Individual game tickets will be available for purchase in March, 2011.
"We saw a tremendous response to our brand of affordable, family-friendly entertainment during our inaugural season at The Diamond," said Flying Squirrels' Vice President & COO Todd "Parney" Parnell. "We are thrilled to be able to continue to offer that affordability, while expanding our options for fans as well as increasing our promotional and overall efforts."
Returning for 2011 are Mini-Plans A & B. Both packages include Diamond Club (Lower Bowl) seats to 24 games at The Diamond, and each includes several dates featuring the Flying Squirrels expanded fireworks calendar. Mini-Plans A & B can each be purchased for $216, representing a 20% savings off walk-up ticket pricing. Mini-Plan A will be highlighted by 10 fireworks nights, including the Flying Squirrels Independence Day Celebration on July 4th. Mini-Plan B features seven fireworks dates, and includes the Flying Squirrels 2011 Opening Night Celebration at The Diamond on April 7th.
The Flying Squirrels Sunday Package will also return for the 2011 season, and is available as either a Diamond Club or General Admission option. The Sunday Package is a perfect complement to the Squirrels Tails Kid's Club, now boasting more than 13,000 members, which allows kids to attend Sunday games for free. Sunday games were the most popular of the week during the Flying Squirrels inaugural season, and the 2011 Sunday Package will include seats at 10 games as well as a Flying Squirrels' cap. Kid's Club members who want to upgrade their tickets to the Diamond Club level, can do so for $4/game.
The Silver Squirrels Club will also be back in 2011, and represents the best value at the ballpark. For fans 60 and over, the Silver Squirrels Club includes a member's t-shirt and seats for 10 Tuesday games at The Diamond. The club can be joined for as little as $25 (General Admission) or $65 (Diamond Club). Members will also receive gifts from Silver Squirrels Club sponsors.
Fans wishing to customize their 2011 Flying Squirrels experience will enjoy the 2011 7-Game Plan. The 7-Game Plan is available in either the Diamond Club ($80) or General Admission ($50), and includes a seat for the 2011 Opening Night Celebration on April 7th. The remaining six games in the package can be selected to include any of the Flying Squirrels' 71 home dates during the 2011 regular season. Purchase of a 2011 7-Game Plan also includes a 2011 Flying Squirrels' cap.
