Orange County Flyers News Release

EDMONTON, Alberta (June 11, 2010) - The Flyers jump-started the "Fireworks Friday" promotion in Edmonton with their own explosive display en route to a 14-2 win at Telus Field.

Tyler Keeble blasted a three-run homerun, his second of the year, and Sergio Pedroza added a two-run double in a five-run third inning for the 5-1 Flyers lead, and Orange County never looked back.

After consecutive hits by Byung-Hyun Kim, Steve Boggs and Tyler Keeble in the fourth inning, Kim scored on an error and Keith Ginter's two-run double brought Boggs and Keeble increasing the Orange County lead, 8-2.

Kim added an RBI single on his second hit of the game in the fifth inning for a 9-2 lead.

A former World Series Champion, Kim earned his first win of the season pitching six innings, giving up two runs on six hits while striking out six and walking three. His next scheduled start is Friday, June 18 at Goodwin Field against Yuma during the Flyers home opening week.

The Flyers padded their lead with a four-run sixth inning capped by David Harris' three-run triple, his third triple of the season. Keeble added an RBI single in the ninth for his fourth hit and fourth RBI of the game to lead the team.

Relievers Mike Koons, Bryan Harris and Andre Simpson all pitched scoreless innings of relief in the win. Edmonton starter Evan White (0-2) took the loss after pitching 3 1/3 innings.

The Flyers and Capitals will conclude the five-game series and the 18-game road trip on Saturday as Manny Ayala makes his second start of the season for the Flyers.
