July 11, 2005 - Golden Baseball League (GBL)
Orange County Flyers News Release

The Flyers ended a rough 11-day home stand 3-8 overall with an 8-5 loss to the Chico Outlaws on Sunday afternoon at Goodwin Field. Fullerton now takes to the road for three game sets with the league-leading San Diego Surf Dawgs and archrival Long Beach Armada. The news isn't all bad for the Flyers however, as their road record is actually 8-8 for the season, compared to an 8-17 record at home.

One bright spot on the home stand was Flyers' new addition Terrence McClain, who started out white hot in his young stint with Fullerton. McClain is batting .321, with two homers and nine RBI, in just seven games with the Flyers. Acquired by the Flyers from the Evansville Otters of the Frontier League, "T-Mac" has now solidified a second spot in the Fullerton outfield, along side center fielder Kevin Whiteside.

Another highlight of the home stand was Coal Train Bobblehead Night on Saturday, July 9th. 1,275 fans piled into Goodwin field to check out the Flyers vs. Chico, and get their hands on the coolest bobblehead in town!

The Flyers will return home on Monday, July 18th for a seven-day home stand featuring four games each against the Japan Samurai Bears and Long Beach Armada. To buy tickets for any of these great games check out our Online Ticket Office.
