Flyers Announce Schedule Changes

FULLERTON, Calif. (July 27, 2010) - The Orange County Flyers have announced schedule changes for three weekday home games in lieu of hosting games Monday, August 16; Tuesday, August 17; and Monday, August 23. The Flyers, who are currently 5-3 in the second half and in second place in the GBL South Division, will not miss any remaining games, rescheduling these games to different dates to accommodate travel and scheduling considerations for opponents.

The following Flyers home games have been moved to the corresponding dates:

+ Monday, August 16 against Tijuana - game has been moved to August 11 in Yuma as part of a road doubleheader against the Tijuana Cimarrones.

+ Tuesday, August 17 against Tijuana - game has been moved to August 13 in Yuma as part of a road doubleheader against the Tijuana Cimarrones.

+ Monday, August 23 against Maui - game has been moved to Tuesday, August 24 as part of a home doubleheader against Na Koa Ikaika Maui (first game begins at 5:05pm with the second game starting at approximately 7:45pm).

In addition, the Flyers will be playing both road series against the Tijuana Cimarrones in Yuma at the Ray Kroc Baseball Complex - home of the Scorpions' Desert Sun Stadium and former home to San Diego Padres spring training - as the Cimarrones work to complete stadium repairs to their home ballpark. This week's road series against Tijuana in Yuma will consist of a game on Tuesday, July 27 at 7pm and a doubleheader on Wednesday, July 28 beginning at 6pm.

The series scheduled on the road against Tijuana for August 11-13 will feature a pair of doubleheaders sandwiching a single game on August 12. The split doubleheaders will comprise two seven-inning games at 9am and 3pm on both Wednesday, August 11 and Friday, August 13. The game on Thursday, August 12 will be a nine-inning contest beginning at 3pm against the Cimarrones.

The Orange County Flyers return home to host Edmonton on Friday, July 30 at 6:05pm on Law Enforcement Appreciation Night and will play a doubleheader against the Capitals on "Souvenir Saturday" with the first pitch of Saturday's first game is at 5:05pm.
