JUPITER, FL - The Miami Marlins along with the Florida State League have announced the winners of this year's FSL Scholarship Program. Koby Hearn and Yogi Brewington, both interns at Roger Dean Stadium, have been chosen for the scholarships.

Hearn, a native of Paris, KY, joined the Roger Dean Stadium staff in January as an intern in the Operations Department. A former pitcher at Union College, he has been awarded the scholarship as a representative of the Palm Beach Cardinals. Hearn is currently working on his MBA with an emphasis in Sports Management at Florida Atlantic University.

Brewington came to Roger Dean Stadium in May. He has preformed numerous duties and served various departments, while working as a game day intern. Brewington will represent the Jupiter Hammerheads as the scholarship recipient. He is earning his Bachelor's Degree in Sports Management from North Carolina State University.

For the 13th straight year, the Marlins and the Florida State League have funded the Scholarship Program. The scholarships have a monetary value of $1,000 to $1,500 each and are presented to a student employee, child or grandchild of an employee of Florida State League teams. Selection is based on grades, leadership capabilities and job performance.

156 scholarships have been awarded since the inception of the program. The Miami Marlins provide a generous contribution to the Scholarship Program. The purpose of the program is to encourage and reward our school age applicants and to send a message that an education is the key to success in life.
