Florida Firecats Fall to Fifth in Week Thirteen Coaches Poll

Estero, FL- The Florida Firecats received 325 points to finish fifth in the Week Thirteen Coaches Poll, the arenafootball2 (af2) league office announced Wednesday. The Firecats (8-3) fell one spot after losing at South Division rival South Georgia, 42-32, last Saturday.

By securing 447 out of a possible 448 points, the Spokane Shock maintained the top spot in the poll for the third consecutive week. Spokane (11-0) remained the league's only unbeaten team after a 21 point win at Tri-Cities this past Saturday, 54-33. The defending ArenaCup champion Tulsa Talons (10-1) maintained the number two position this week on the strength of a 48-31 home win against Iowa. Wilkes-Barre/Scranton (9-2), Green Bay (8-3) and Florida rounded out the top five.

Each week during the season, af2 coaches vote for the Top 16 teams in the league by ranking them one through 16. The complete Top 16 is listed below. The number in parentheses indicates the number of first place votes the team received. Week 13 TOP 16 Rank
