Mrs. Kentucky Shows Support for Fire

Louisville, KY-On Monday, June 23 the Louisville Fire will be taking on the Lexington Horsemen. With the state coming together for a football game, the newly crowned Mrs. Kentucky, Ra'Tonya Willis-Friedman, decided that it would be good for her to show her support. Mrs. Kentucky will be one of the honorary captains for the game. She will also be available to meet fans following the game on the field during the autograph session.

Ra'Tonya, married to Gary Friedman, is a lifelong resident of Louisville, KY. She is a graduate of Male High School and holds a B.S. from the University of Louisville, a MAT and MEA from Spalding University where she also completed the Doctoral in Educational Leadership Program. Ra'Tonya now considers her biggest accomplishment the opportunity to be a "stay at home Mom" to Noa'Sosa, their 9 month old son.

Ra'Tonya competed in the Mrs. Kentucky pageant as Mrs. Louisville Slugger. She will represent the Commonwealth of Kentucky in the Mrs. America pageant on September 2, 2008 in Tucson, AZ.

The Louisville Fire will be hosting their own Mrs. Louisville Fire competition on July 9, 2008 from 7:00 to 9:00. The winner will then be announced at halftime of the Fire game on July 12, 2008 against the Albany Conquest.

The Fire will be hosting the Lexington Horsemen in the finale of the "War on 64". Kickoff is set for 7:30 P.M. on Monday, June 23, the first Monday night game in Fire history. Louisville has won the previous two meetings this season 61-34 and 61-31. Fans are encouraged to bring their brooms to receive half price tickets for the game.
