Florence Freedom to host "Salute the Troops" night July 1st

Florence, KY - The Florence Freedom have a great lineup of events at Champion Window Field on Tuesday, July 1st in celebration of the upcoming holiday weekend. The night is the team's "Salute the Troops" night which includes pre-game catch on the field, a silent auction of patriotic Freedom jerseys and even a post game fireworks show.

"Salute the Troops" night is also a "Caught up in a Cause" Tuesday presented by The Bank of Kentucky. For a $5.00 donation fans can play catch on the field before the game from 6:15pm to 6:30pm. The Freedom will be wearing patriotic jerseys during the game which fans can bid on in a silent auction. The proceeds from catch on the field and the jersey auction will benefit the American Red Cross.

Fans can also donate blood during the day at the Hoxworth Blood Mobile which will be at Champion Window Field from 2pm - 8pm. Blood donors will receive one (1) ticket to the game and a free t-shirt.

Finally the night ends with a bang as the Freedom present the best fireworks show in the area courtesy of Rozzi.

The Florence Freedom are a member of the Frontier League, a 12-team Independent Professional Baseball League established in 1993. The Freedom play a 96 game schedule with 54 home games between late May and early September.
