SACRAMENTO, CA - Rapper FLO RIDA will provide pre-game and halftime entertainment when the SACRAMENTO MOUNTAIN LIONS host the LAS VEGAS LOCOMOTIVES at 8 p.m. on Friday, October 15 at Hornet Stadium on the Sacramento State campus.

The Mountain Lions, of the United Football League, are 1-2 and have a bye this week. They defeated the Florida Tuskers in their home opener, 24-20, before a near-sellout crowd at Hornet Stadium on Sept. 25. The Mountain Lions were defeated 20-17 in Omaha against the Nighthawks on Saturday, October 2.

Flo Rida will take the ‘Coors Light Entertainment Stage' in Lot 8 of the Hornet Stadium Parking lot to perform during the pre-game Fan Fest. Gates open at 5 p.m. for the Fan Fest.

Flo Rida, whose music is known all over the world, will then perform a 12-minute set at halftime inside the stadium.

"I'm excited to come to Sacramento and turn it out for the crowd at the Mountain Lions game," Flo Rida said. "I'm going to bring the energy, get the fans out of their seats and have the players ready to go. The Locomotives won't know what hit them."

Flo Rida's solo debut album, ‘Mail on Sunday', came out in 2007 and it featured the song ‘Low' which was a No. 1 hit for ten weeks in United States. This song, which featured Flo Rida and T-Pain, won a People's Choice Award.

Other hits on that album included ‘Elevator', ‘In the Ayer' and ‘Roll'. His big hit off his next album, titled ‘R.O.O.T.S.', was ‘Right Round'. This was at the top of Billboard's Hot 100 for six weeks. ‘Right Round' was featured in the hit movie "The Hangover".

Flo Rida's next album, ‘The Only One', is scheduled to be released in November. His song ‘Club Can't Handle Me' was the first single off the album and it reached the top-10 on the Hot 100. Flo Rida was born Tramar Dillard and he was raised in Florida.

"Flo Rida is one of the hottest acts going and we are extremely excited that he has teamed up with the Mountain Lions for this game," said Mountain Lions Director of Business Management Joe Wagoner. "He will fire up the crowd and hopefully our team can get us another home win."

Quarterback Daunte Culpepper and the Mountain Lions will try to get back in the win column against Las Vegas on Oct. 15. Las Vegas, the UFL champion a year ago, won 20-17 at Florida last week to improve to 1-1 on the season.
