Flint Generals prepare for Quad City Saturday night

FLINT, MI - The Flint Generals of the United Hockey League prepare for the final 11 games of the 2003-2004 regular season. Flint (34-23-8, 76 pts.) is only one point away from officially clinching a playoff spot for the Colonial Cup Championships.

Flint hosts archrival Quad City on Saturday, March 27, 2004 at 7:35 p.m. The Generals have won four out of the last five games against the Mallards and have a record of 5-4-0 against Quad City this season. Saturday marks the final meeting of the regular season between the two teams.

Flint will return home to host the Muskegon Fury on Friday, April 2, 2004 at 7:35 p.m. The Flint Generals are proud to announce Friday night as the "Pep Rally to the Playoffs---White Out Night". All fans are encouraged to wear white shirts and bring a white towel to wave showing your playoff support to the Generals for every game. "WHITE OUT CONDITIONS ARE IN EFFECT FOR EVERY GAME THROUGHOUT THE REMAINDER OF THE SEASON." beginning April 2, 2004.

"The Flint Generals have always enjoyed a special relationship with our great fans, the city of Flint and surrounding communities, especially during playoff time," said Vice President/Head Coach, Robbie S. Nichols. "Our hockey fans make playoff time very special for our organization. The players are coming together now in preparation for the playoffs, and we want and need our fans to continue their great support as we prepare for a run at the championship. With "white-out" conditions in effect, it brings our entire community together and will certainly pump up our players," continues Nichols. "We hope everyone will have fun with this throughout the remainder of the season and the playoffs. Our fans can help us tremendously from here on out as our extra attacker."
