Pittsburgh Riverhounds SC News Release
The United Soccer Leagues announced Wednesday morning the All-Leagues Team for the USL Second Division 2006 season. Players from seven of the nine clubs in the league were voted onto two separate teams by the league's coaches and general managers.
Defender Cody Bragg and veteran forward David Flavius were selected to the All-League Second Team due to their impressive performances in the 2006 regular season. Along with his veteran leadership on and off the field, Flavius also collected 12 points with five goals and two assists in the 2006 regular season campaign.
Bragg, in his third season with the HOUNDS®, has been the team's top set-up man with a team high seven assists in 18 games played. Bragg's assist total gives him seven points and ranks him second in the league for most assists behind Richmond's Chris Carrieri(9).
Fans can catch Flavius, Bragg, and the rest of the Riverhounds FC team in playoff action Friday night at Falconi Field. The HOUNDS® finished the 2006 season in third place, putting them in a two match playoff against the defending champion Charlotte Eagles. First match will be at 7:05 at Falconi Field with the second match the following evening in Charlotte with game time at 7:00 p.m. The team to advance will be determined by the combination of goals in the two matches.
