
Flash Hand Bighorns 109-104 Defeat

OREM, Utah- Reno saw a three-point halftime lead dissipate in the second half Friday night, as the Utah Flash edged the Bighorns 109-104 in the McKay Events Center. The loss snaps a four-game winning streak for the Bighorns.
The Bighorns (9-13) trailed in the early-going, but fired back in the second quarter. Reno allowed just 16 points in the second period, as the Bighorns to a three-point advantage into the locker room. In the third quarter, the Flash (14-11) came to life, outscoring Reno by 12 points to take a nine-point lead into the final stanza.
But Reno would not go away. The Bighorns clawed back in the fourth quarter, trailing by just four points with 14 seconds remaining. The Flash would manage to hold on, though, handing the Bighorns their first defeat since Jan. 9.
Mo Charlo went 8-for-8 from the charity stripe, en route to a team-high 20 points. Desmon Farmer and Majic Dorsey scored 18 points apiece for Reno.
The Flash were led by a 22-point effort from Luke Nevill. Andre Ingram grabbed nine boards, and Dontell Jefferson dished out nine assists for Utah.
Coming up, the Bighorns return home on Saturday, Jan. 30 for a two-game weekend series with the Flash. Tip-off is slated for 7 p.m., and the Bighorns will celebrate Breast Cancer Awareness Night in the Reno Events Center.
