
Flash Acquire Forward Charles Garcia

OREM, Utah, Nov. 25, 2010 - The Utah Flash have acquired forward Charles Garcia. To make room for the rookie forward the Flash have waived guard Carlos Medlock.
Last season Garcia was a junior at Seattle University, a program in its first year of returning to Division 1 College Basketball. Garcia, a 6'10" forward from Los Angeles, average 18.7 points and 8.3 rebounds last year with the Redhawks. Garcia spent the summer on the New York Knicks roster and played a few games in Turkey before returning to the U.S. last week. Garcia is eligible to play as early as Friday as he travels with the team today.
The Flash are en route to New Mexico to take on the Thunderbirds both Friday and Saturday and will continue on to Bakersfield to take on the Jam next week. Utah will return home for the home opener Friday December 3 against the Austin Toros. Tip-off is schedule for 7 p.m. at the UCCU Center.
