TULSA, Okla., Nov. 25, 2010 - The Tulsa 66ers return to the court this Friday and Saturday, Nov. 26th and 27th for their home opening weekend against the Iowa Energy inside the Tulsa Convention Center. Both games are scheduled to tip off at 7 p.m.

The two contests can be heard in Tulsa on KAKC AM 1300 and can be viewed online via webcast at nba.com/futurecast.

Tulsa (1-1) is coming off of a 108-93 victory over the Bakersfield Jam last Saturday evening. This weekend will mark the second straight back-to-back set to start the season for 66ers.

The 66ers will play this weekend with Cole Aldrich on the roster after the Oklahoma City Thunder assigned the 6-11 center to Tulsa on Wednesday.

"Our team is excited to play at home in front of our fans for the first time this season," 66ers head coach Nate Tibbetts said. "Fan support is big to our guys and I think the people of Tulsa realize how good of basketball this league is."

Tulsa's leading scorers this season are guard Zabian Dowdell and center Marcus Lewis, both averaging 18.5 points per game. Forward Larry Owens paces Tulsa with nine rebounds a game.

Iowa (3-0) is coming off of a win against the Dakota Wizards Monday evening, 111-103. The Energy's three wins have all come against the Wizards this season by an average score of 108-95.

"Iowa is an extremely veteran group who won more D-League games last year than any team has ever won in the regular season. A lot of those guys are back so it is going to be a big challenge for our team." Tibbets added

The 66ers are 4-4 all-time against the Energy, including 2-2 last season. Both were back-to-back contests in Tulsaan. 28-29, April 2-3), with each team winning one in a set.

The 66ers have announced promotions for the home opening weekend, highlighted by a special package that includes a lower level ticket, hot dog and a soda for just $10. That offer is good for both Friday and Saturday.

Additionally, Hooters restaurant is the presenting sponsor for Friday's game and will give away gift cards throughout the evening. American Diabetes is the non-profit organization of the night and the PC Dance Studio will perform at halftime.

Saturday evening will feature a halftime performance by speed artist Richard Hights.
