Flames Assign Pair of Forwards to Stockton

Calgary, AB - The Calgary Flames announced today that they have assigned forwards Freddie Hamilton and Garnet Hathaway to their American Hockey League affiliate, the Stockton Heat.

Hamilton made his Flames debut on March 16th and scored his first goal for the club on March 18th. He played four games for Calgary and had two points (1G, 1A). The 24-year-old has also skated in 53 games for Stockton this year where he sits fourth on the club in points (35), goals (16) and assists (19).

HEIGHT: 6'1" WEIGHT: 200 lbs.

SHOOTS: Right

DRAFTED: SJS - 5th round, 129th overall, in the 2010 NHL Entry Draft

ACQUIRED: Trade from Colorado in exchange for a conditional pick in the 2016 NHL Draft on October 4, 2015.

Hathaway, a native of Kennebunkport, Maine, made his NHL debut on February 29th and recorded his first NHL points (2A) on March 3rd. The 24-year old saw action in 14 games for the Flames and had three assists and 31 penalty minutes. He has also played 35 games in the AHL for Stockton this season, scoring six goals and adding 11 assists along with 30 PIMs.

HEIGHT: 6'2" WEIGHT: 208 lbs.

ACQUIRED: Signed as a free agent on April 12, 2015
