Flames and Heat Announce Roster Changes

Stockton, Calif. - The Stockton Heat, proudly owned by the Calgary Flames, announce that goaltender Karri Ramo has been reassigned to the Calgary Flames. In addition, the Heat have also recalled goalie Kent Simpson along with forward Ryan Lomberg from the Adirondack Thunder of the ECHL.

Ramo, 29, was signed as a free agent on July 1, 2015 and is playing his third year for the Flames. Ramo played 34 games for Calgary last year where he had a 15-9-3 record and recorded a 2.60 GAA and a .912 SV%. The Finnish netminder also featured in seven postseason games where he went 2-3 with a 2.86 GAA and a .906 SV%. He played 20 minutes for the Heat last Saturday against the San Antonio Rampage stopping all six shots he faced.

Simpson, 23, played two games for the Thunder during his assignment to the ECHL helping the team win both games he played in. The Edmonton, Alberta native stopped all but four of the 62 shots he faced en route to his first two victories in his first two games of the 2015-16 season.

Lomberg, 20, began his first season pro with the Thunder, scoring 4 goals and adding an assist in the five games he played for Adirondack. At the time of his recall, Lomberg ranked tied-third on the team in points with five and led the team in shots with 21.
