(PORT HURON, MICH.) - . Slapshot, the friendly mascot of the Port Huron Flags, has entered the digital world for the younger generation with his own page on the website that has taken the world by storm, Myspace.
At www.myspace.com/phflags, fans can watch slideshows of Flags' pictures, check out recent news and upcoming events, and enjoy a video of Port Huron hockey action.
With the recent growing trend in Myspace pages, the website is a great alternative way for Flags news to be communicated to another genre of hockey fans. Several other teams in the United Hockey League have also utilized Myspace, including the Kalamazoo Wings and the Chicago Hounds.

Coming off an extremely hot month in December, the Flags face a tough weekend, beginning tonight at 7:30 p.m. at McMorran Arena. The Western Conference leading Fort Wayne Komets are in town to face off against Port Huron. Tomorrow, the Flags host the league's first place team, the Muskegon Fury, before heading to Illinois to play the Chicago Hounds on Sunday night. It will be the first meeting of the season between the Flags and the expansion Hounds.
