LAKE ST. LOUIS, MO--- The United Hockey League (UHL) announced Friday that Quad City Mallards right wing Don Parsons has been named Sher-Wood UHL Player of the Month and Muskegon Fury goaltender Clayton Pool has been named Southern Sports Supply UHL Goaltender of the Month for December.

Parsons completed the month with 21 points (16g, 5a) and a plus-4 rating in 14 games played. He had five multi-goal games during the month, including a league season high four goals on December 20th in the 7-1 win vs. Bloomington. He netted two game-winning games in December, including two goals in a span of 31 seconds during the final two minutes of the 4-2 win vs. Muskegon on New Year's Eve. Parsons also reached a historic milestone when he scored his 600th career goal on December 15th. The Boston, Massachussetts native became just the third American born player at any level of professional hockey to score 600 goals in a career. He has since become the leading American born goal scorer in minor professional hockey history. Parsons, who turns 38 this month, currently leads the UHL with 25 goals and 16 power play goals this season. He ranks seventh in scoring with 35 points (25g, 10a) in 29 games played.
