Friday, Mar. 9 Port Huron 4 @ Quad City 3
Mike Olynyk's goal put the Flags ahead first, but the Mallards responded with 2 straight tallies. Dustin Traylen stopped all 4 of Quad City's shooters, while Mark Cadotte and Gustavson found the net to give the Flags the overtime win.
Saturday, Mar. 10 Port Huron 2 @ Quad City 4
Ryan Markham and Steve Hildenbrand's lamp-lighters gave the Flags a 2-0 lead, but the Mallards then netted three in a row to jump in front. The Flags pulled Noah Ruden in the final minute to try and even the score, but an empty-netter finished the game for Quad City.
Sunday, Mar. 11
In a high-powered offensive attack from both sides, Flint took the reigns first, but Scott Wray scored twice and Kris Vernarsky added another to finish the first period, 3-1. The Generals came back in the second, tying the score. Mark Cadotte sent the Flags ahead again in the third, but Flint scored two more to take the lead, 5-4, before Cadotte potted the final regulation goal. In the shootout, Steve Hildenbrand, Cadotte, Ben Gustavson and Greg Bullock were all successful, and Traylen turned away 2 of Flint's 4 attempts to grab the victory for the Flags.
