In their continued commitment to amateur football throughout Manitoba and Western Ontario, the Winnipeg Football Club would like to help promote the registration for Flag Football for the upcoming season. Entering its 8th year, Flag Football has acted as a springboard for young players to hone their skills and stay active.

Through Football Manitoba, Flag Football had 155 teams last year and continues to expand.

Registration takes place mid-February until mid-March and is open for people aged 7-17. Players, coaches, referees and parents can visit www.footballmanitoba.com for more information on fees and schedules.

"Flag football is all about fun competition, skill advancement and innovative coaching techniques," said Rob Berkowits, executive director of Football Manitoba.

The Winnipeg Football Club continues to invest in the future of football throughout Manitoba by donating their proceeds from their 50/50 sales every year to Football Manitoba. Last season, the Club donated $102,000.

"We feel very privileged and fortunate to be able to help Football Manitoba grow and expand its programs," said Blue Bomber President, Jim Bell.
