Five Regular-Season Matchups You Won't Want to Miss in 2023ÃâÃÂ
December 23, 2022 - Major League Soccer (MLS)
Colorado Rapids News Release
Seattle Sounders | February 26
The Burgundy Boys will begin the 2023 season in the pacific northwest, home of Seattle Sounders. The February 26 matchup will pit the Rapids against the 2022 CCL champions on their home turf in a contest Colorado fans won't want to miss. Last year's game at Lumen Field left Seattle seeing red, but Colorado without any points after a later-rebuked free kick call led to the Sounders' game-winner. The Rapids will be out for redemption in February, and will need all of Colorado behind them to start the season strong.
Sporting Kansas City | March 4
Who doesn't love an I-70 rivalry matchup to kickstart the home campaign? Colorado welcomes Sporting Kansas City on March 4 to bring the Rapids faithful back to the stands of DICK'S Sporting Goods Park.
Prepare for the chilly temperatures with our 2023 Holiday Pack, complete with a Rapids beanie and ticket to the home opener.
Rocky Mountain Cup Rivalry

The rivals will face off first on May 20 at DICK'S Sporting Goods Park before traveling to Rio Tinto Stadium on September 2 for the second leg of the competition. It all comes down to Decision Day on October 21 when RSL returns to altitude for a final showdown no Rapids fan will want to miss.
St. Louis CITY | April 22
Time to show the MLS newcomers what strength at altitude is all about. Expansion side St. Louis CITY will make their first excursion to DSGP on April 22 for a brand new Western Conference clash.
Bradley Carnell's side boasts European talent like German international Eduard Löwen and Borussia Dortmund goalkeeper Roman Bürki as well as competitors from around the league, including newest transfer Samuel Adeniran from Seattle and Jared Stroud from Austin FC. Five
Portland Timbers | July 4
Come celebrate tradition with us at DSGP for the 26th annual 4th Fest, largest fireworks show in Colorado and the Rapids matchup with Portland on Independence day. It's a party no Rapids fan will want to miss, as Colorado will spend the day enjoying a pregame festival, a highly-anticipated match with a Western Conference foe, and fireworks that the whole family will enjoy.
