Fisher named Offensive Player of the Week

Sioux Falls, SD-The United States Hockey League (USHL) announced Monday that Stampede forward Drew Fisher has been named RBK-CCM Hockey "Offensive Player-of-the-Week" after posting seven points (3g, 4a) in two games over the weekend. Fisher recorded four points (1g, 3a) in a 5-3 win over Des Moines on Saturday and three points (2g, 1a) in an 8-4 loss to Tri-City on Sunday.

The International Falls, MN native ranks second on the Stampede in scoring with 38 points (17g, 21a) and is a +3 in 49 games this season. Eight of his 17 goals have come on the powerplay. Last year, Fisher posted 16 points (10g, 6a) in 55 games with the Stampede while helping lead them to their first ever Anderson Cup championship.

Fisher and the Stampede return to action this weekend in which they will once again play three games in three days. The Herd will travel to Lincoln on Friday and Sioux City on Saturday before returning home to face the Green Bay Gamblers on Sunday at 4:05 PM.
