HELENA, Mont. - Great Falls and Helena combined for 30 hits, and the Voyagers held on late for a 12-11 win over the Brewers Friday night at Kindrick Field.

With the game tied 9-9, the Voyagers (10-14, 33-29) regained the lead for good in the eighth. Zach Fisher led off the frame with his second homer of the night, taking David Carver (1-1) deep. Later in the inning, Dillon Haupt scored on a passed ball, and Ryan Jones drove in another with a sacrifice fly.

The Brewers (9-15, 22-40) came back with two in the home half. Edgardo Rivera and Dionis Hinojosa picked up the RBIs, cutting the lead to one. Rivera tried to score from second on a single later in the inning, but was thrown out at the plate by Mason Robbins.

In the ninth, Jon Bengard walked the lead-off hitter, but the righty bounced back, striking out the last two to earn his eighth save of the season.

The Voyagers fell behind early 3-1, but turned things around in a hurry with a six-run fourth. The inning started with back-to-back homers by Robbins and Fisher to tie the game. John Ziznewski drew a bases loaded walk later in the frame, putting the visitors in front. Ethan Gross and Robbins each added an RBI, and another run scored on a wild pitch.

The lead did not last long, as Helena plated four in the bottom of the inning. Gregory Munoz scored a run with a single, then Hinojosa tied the game with a three-run homer, his first of the season.

Great Falls took the lead back in the fifth. Gross came up with a two-out two-run single, putting the Voyagers back in front 9-7.

Again, the lead did not hold up. This time it was DeMuth tying the game up for Helena, taking Matt Cooper (4-1) deep for a two-run shot.

The win gives Great Falls four straight victories over the Brewers, and improves their record against them to 8-2 in 2014.

The Voyagers and Brewers will wrap-up this series Saturday night at Kindrick Field. Great Falls will send right-hander Dane Stone (5-1, 3.80) to the mound, while Helena will counter with fellow righty Brandon Woodruff (0-0, 2.83). First pitch is set for 7:05 and coverage will begin at 6:50 on 1400 AM KXGF and gfvoyagers.com.
