
Fisher Cats Hit Three Homers in Matinee Win

READING, PA---Jack Murphy, Andy Burns and Kevin Nolan all homered as the New Hampshire Fisher Cats topped the Reading Fightin Phils 6-2 on Tuesday afternoon.
Reading put together two hits to take a 1-0 lead in the bottom of the third inning. K. C. Serna doubled, moved to third on a groundout and scored on a single by Raywilly Gomez.
New Hampshire (38-45) moved in front with two, two-run homers in the top of the fifth inning. Pierce Rankin's double was followed by a Jack Murphy home run to make it 2-1. Jorge Flores singled and Andy Burns homered to make it 4-1.
Reading (34-46) came back with a run in the bottom of the frame. Peter Lavin tripled and scored on a single by Serna to make it 4-2.
Kevin Nolan ripped a 2-2 pitch for his fourth home run in the top of the sixth inning to again give the Fisher Cats a three-run lead. They added another run when Dalton Pompey reached on a bases loaded walk in the top of the ninth inning.
John Anderson made his first start of the season, allowing two runs in 4.2 innings before giving way to Dustin Antolin (3-3). Antolin retired all seven batters he faced in relief. Randy Boone worked two scoreless frames to finish up for his ninth save.
Hoby Milner (5-4) took the loss for Reading.
The Fisher Cats and Fightin Phils continue the series on Wednesday. The starters will be RHP Radhames Liz (0-1, 1.11) for New Hampshire and Reading will counter with RHP Ryan O'Sullivan (2-4, 3.33). First pitch is scheduled for 7:05 p.m. coverage begins at 6:45 p.m. with Bob Lipman on the WGIR Fisher Cats Radio Network and at www.nhfishercats.com .
