
Fisher Cats Complete Sweep In Trenton With 14-12 Win

Trenton, NJ---New Hampshire sent eleven batters to the plate and scored seven runs in the fifth inning en route to a 14-12 win at Trenton Wednesday, completing a three-game sweep of the Thunder. The win leaves the Fisher Cats (13-7) in first place in the Eastern Division of the Eastern League.
Al Quintana went 3-for-5 with RBI doubles in the fourth and fifth innings to pace the New Hampshire attack. Quintana's first double tied the game at 5-5 in the fourth inning and his shot in the top of the fifth put the Fisher Cats in front for good, 9-8. Both doubles came off Trenton starter and loser D. J. Mitchell (2-2).
Darin Mastroianni (2-for-4, 2R, BB) drove in two runs for the Fisher Cats and extended his consecutive game on-base streak to a franchise record-tying 24 games. Manny Mayorson (2-for-5) had two hits and two RBIs. Eric Thames hit his team-leading third home run, a solo shot in the top of the eighth inning.
Bubbie Buzachero (1-0), the third of five New Hampshire pitchers, was awarded the win after working three innings of three-hit ball. He allowed a solo home run to Trenton's Marcos Vechionacci (2-for-5, HR, 2B). Danny Farquhar earned his sixth save, working the bottom of the ninth.
The Fisher Cats return to Merchantsauto.com Stadium Friday, April 30, to open a three-game series against the Reading Phillies at 6:35pm. RHP Kyle Drabek (3-1, 3.80) starts for New Hampshire against Reading RHP Drew Naylor (1-2, 4.86). Radio coverage with Mike Murphy and Bob Lipman begins at 6:15pm on the WGIR Fisher Cats Radio Network.
