
FirstOn the Field Returns this Friday at Tim Hortons Field

The Hamilton Tiger-Cats announced Wednesday, FirstOn the Field Flag Football will be returning for the 2023 season, beginning on Friday, May 5.
"FirstOn the Field has become a staple of the many great programs that the Tiger-Cats offer in the Hamilton community." Said Courtney Stephen, Director of Community Partnerships, Hamilton Sports Group. "It always brings me joy to see the excitement on the faces of the kids and our players as they get to take part in this incredible opportunity and we are extremely thankful to our friends at FirstOntario for helping us put on the most expanded version of the program to date."
This year's FirstOn the Field Flag Football will be the largest, most expanded version since the program began in 2017. The Hamilton Tiger-Cats and FirstOntario will welcome over 250 students per session from schools from all over the greater Hamilton area to Tim Hortons Field and provide each participating student with unique flag football experience, including their own locker nameplate, a pre-game speech from Ticats players and the opportunity to participate in football drills and games alongside their favourite Hamilton Tiger-Cats.

Friday's event will be attended by students from Prince of Wales Elementary, St. David Catholic Elementary, St. Michael Catholic Elementary, George L. Armstrong Elementary, Viscount Montgomery and Glenview Public School and Tiger-Cats Bo Levi Mitchell, Simoni Lawrence, Bailey Feltmate, Tyler Ternowski, Lawrence Woods and Llevi Noelwho will be providing the students with a unique FirstOn the Field experience.
