First Team Skate Party Announced

Corpus Christi, Texas: October 20, 2003 – The Corpus Christi Rayz hockey team will be holding a "Skate with the Rayz" party this Friday night at 7:30pm at the Memorial Coliseum, Rayz General Manager/Senior Vice President Pat Dunn announced. "Skate with the Rayz" is a great way for skaters of all skill levels to come and learn from the professionals. It is also a unique opportunity to come and meet your favorite Rayz in the same setting fans love to watch them.

The "Skate with the Rayz" party will begin at 7:30pm and go until 9:30pm. The night before the party the Rayz will take on the San Angelo Saints at the Coliseum. Then on Saturday night the Rayz will host the Laredo Bucks for the second time this season. This party gives fans the opportunity to take the ice with the Corpus Christi Rayz on the night in between home games. Fans will be able to get skating tips from, or show off their talents to the best skaters in South Texas.

All the Rayz players will be available on Friday night for autographs, skating instructions or just to talk with your favorite players about the games you have seen them play. This is a fantastic opportunity for anyone who has ever wanted to meet the Rayz, skate at the Memorial Coliseum or both. The "Skate with the Rayz" party costs $4 to skate and $3 for rental skates. This Friday night and 7:30pm at the Memorial Coliseum, don't miss your chance to "Skate with the Rayz."

The second "Al Sims Show" of the season will be airing tonight at 6:30pm on ESPN Radio 1230am KSIX. The Voice of the Rayz Josh Bogorad will be joined by Rayz players tonight and they will be taking your phone calls live from the studio. The Corpus Christi Rayz continue their 2003-04 CHL season this week as they take on the San Angelo Saints on Thursday October, 23 and the Laredo Bucks on Saturday October 25.
