First Place Argonauts Host Alouettes on Tuesday Night

Toronto - Winners of four of their past five games, the first place Toronto Argonauts host the Montreal Alouettes at Rogers Centre this Tuesday, September 3 at 7:30 p.m.

Fans will not want to miss this week's edition of Argos football, presented by Desjardins,as two division rivals square off in the first game of a home and home series. The "Flyin' Hawaiian" Chad Owens is again tearing up the CFL with more than 1,587 combined yards and is on pace for his fourth straight season with at least 3,000 yards. Jason "The Barber" Barnes scored his fourth touchdown in as many games last week at home, and Curtis "Man Of" Steele is ready tofly into the endzone again. Pat "Punisher" Watkins and Marcus "Wolverine" Ball held the Alouettes' offence to just 13 points a few weeks ago in Montreal, and they expect to stand tall again this week in front of a boisterous home crowd.

Class will be back in session as thousands of post-secondary students from across the city are expected to pack Tuesday night's game, presented by Pizza Pizza. Students will be treated to a special pre-game tailgate party at the south side of the stadium where there will be a live DJ, inflatables, special guest appearances by the Argos Cheerleaders, presented by Toronto Sun,and much more!

Commander Chris Hadfield willparticipate in the ceremonial pre-game coin toss while members of the University of Toronto Faculty of Music will perform the national anthem. University of Toronto students will welcome the home team to the field as they line the fan tunnel for player introductions.

The Argonauts will again celebrate their Champion of Change initiative as part of the award-winning Huddle Up Bullying Prevention Program, presented by Tim Hortons. At each home game, the Argos recognize student champions who make a difference in their school or community through acts of kindness, tolerance, and respect for others. Plus, Fostering Empowering Advocacy Together (F.E.A.T.) will be the recipient of this week's 50/50 draw as part of the Argonauts' continued commitment to support local youth.
