VICTORIA, BC - When it is time to play baseball again, the Victoria HarbourCats intend to have one heck of a celebration and are offering one lucky fan the opportunity to be a big part of it and throw out the ceremonial first pitch at that game, hopefully at the Home Opener on Friday, June 4, 2021.

Between now and January 31, 2021 any fan purchasing ANYTHING from the HarbourCats store, either on-line, or in person at 101-1814 Vancouver Street, will have their name entered into a draw to be the lucky first pitch recipient at that first game in 2021. And by anything, the HarbourCats mean anything.

"A window sticker, tee-shirt, 10-game flex pack, season ticket, key chain, hoodie...any item purchased is fair game to be entered," said HarbourCats GM and Managing Partner Jim Swanson. "We just want to keep our fans involved and give one of them a great chance to be part of the big party we will have once we can return to play."

Fans can purchase team merchandise on-line at The Cat Shop, the HarbourCats on-line store, at https://victoria-harbourcats-official.myshopify.com/. There are plenty of new items to choose from, including some that arrived in store earlier this week (photo below).

In person purchases can be made at the HarbourCats office at 101-1814 Vancouver Street from Tuesday to Friday, 10am to 5:00pm. The office is closed Saturday, Sunday and Monday.

The HarbourCats are scheduled to begin their 2021 season on the road on June 1 against the expansion Edmonton Riverhawks in the first ever West Coast League game played in Alberta. They will return home for the home opener on Friday, June 4 against their rivals from across the Strait of Juan deFuca, the Port Angeles Lefties. The HarbourCats will also welcome two other expansion teams to Victoria this season, with both the Nanaimo Night Owls and Kamloops NorthPaws scheduled to make visits to Wilson's Group Stadium.
