
First Cuts Made by Lumberjacks

Bangor, ME- The Bangor Lumberjacks trimmed their spring training roster by two outfielders the Northeast League club announced today. The first two cut from camp were rookie outfielders L.J. DeMaino and Edwin Thompson.
DeMaino a 5' 11" 170 lb rookie out of the University of Massachusetts-Lowell had 37 bunt singles in 44 games last season. DeMaino finished the year with a .282 batting average and went 22 out of 24 in stolen base attempts.
Thompson attended Howard University and hit .280 in his only season there before transferring to Webber University in Florida. The Jay ME native hit .197 with 11 RBI for the Jacks last year.
The Jacks still have four outfielders on their spring training roster.
