August 28, 2010 - California League (CalL1)
Rancho Cucamonga Quakes News Release

Still tied atop the South Division, your first-place Rancho Cucamonga Quakes seek their third consecutive win tonight, as they host the division-rival Lancaster JetHawks in the second game of the current seven-game home stand.

Saturday nights at The Epicenter mean fun and fireworks and tonight's game is our final Saturday night home game of the year. After the completion of tonight's ballgame, everyone will enjoy an incredible Fireworks Extravaganza, thanks to KOLA 99.9.

After tonight, there's only one Fireworks Display left in the 2010 regular season, so join us this evening at The Epicenter! Game time is 7:05pm and gates open at 6:05pm. Tickets are available by calling (909) 481-5000 or online at rcquakes.com.

POST-SEASON ALL-STARS ANNOUNCED, BUT NO QUAKES

The California League has announced the 2010 post-season Al-Star Team and award winners. Visalia first baseman Paul Goldschmidt is your 2010 MVP and Rookie of the Year. Storm Closer Brad Brach has been named the Pitcher of the Year, while Storm Manager Carlos Lezcano has been voted the Manager of the Year. With so many player transactions this season obviously hurting their full season-long status, no Rancho Cucamonga Quakes were recognized as post-season All-Stars. Despite an incredible season from first baseman Gabe Jacobo, many first base votes went to Visalia's Goldschmidt, hindering the Quakes' best chance at a post-season All-Star. Despite the white wash in the All-Star voting, the Quakes have had an incredible season, with the team currently tied for first place.
