Fireworks, Fan Appreciation Night, Lucky Bobblehead Highlight Beavers Final Homestand

PORTLAND, Ore. - The Portland Beavers play host to an action-packed, 10-game homestand against the Tacoma Rainiers and Salt Lake Bees starting Wednesday at PGE Park. The final homestand of the season is filled with several exciting events, including fireworks, a Lucky bobblehead giveaway, a jersey auction, Fan Appreciation Night and an appearance from Reggy, the purple party dude.

In the spirit of an election year, a special fireworks presentation will highlight the Beavers' Election Night on Friday at PGE Park. The first 1,903 fans will receive a Vote-for-Lucky election button. The team's final fireworks display of the season will take place over center field following the game.

On Saturday, the loveable Reggy and his friends take over PGE Park with their fur-flying antics as the Beavers take on Tacoma. The first 1,903 fans receive a Lucky bobblehead courtesy of Health Net Insurance.

With the summer winding down and the school year just round the corner, the Beavers host Back-to-School Day on Sunday presented by Supercuts. The first 1,903 kids 12 and under receive a Beavers backpack. Before and during the game on Sunday, the Beavers will auction off their Vintage Sunday uniforms through a silent auction with proceeds benefitting Schoolhouse Supplies. Bring a school supply to the game and save up to $2 off admission when purchasing tickets at the PGE Park box office on Sunday.

Portland plays its second doubleheader at home this month on a Two-for-Tuesday on Aug. 26. Two-for-Tuesday discounts, include two tickets for the price of one, two hot dogs for $2 and just one ticket allows entry into both games of the Beavers' twin bill again Salt Lake. The first of two, seven-inning games begins at 6:05 p.m.

The Beavers finish their 2008 home schedule with their annual Fan Appreciation Day on Thursday, Aug. 28 - one of two Miller Lite Thursdays during the final homestand of the season. The first 1,903 fans receive a 2009 Beavers schedule calendar presented by PGE, and everyone will have the chance to win one of dozens of prizes and giveaways throughout the night.

The Beavers' final homestand of the season features three games broadcast on FSN, beginning with the opening game on Wednesday against Tacoma.
